On November 9 work will be carried out on the southbound part of the carriageway going towards Hayling with work the following day taking place on the northbound carriageway towards Havant.

An email from SGN to those affected said: ‘Noise will be kept to a minimum after 10pm to manage to prevent any further disruption to the residents living close by.

‘We do appreciate that work in the road can cause disruption and to minimise this our team of engineers will be working overnight.

‘Once completed, this repair will allow us to continue to provide a safe and reliable gas supply to the surrounding area.’

A message from the Editor, Mark Waldron
