HAMPSHIRE Police had to close a road as emergency services dealt with a serious road traffic collision near Wickham.

A statement on social media said: ‘We are dealing with a serious RTI on the A32 north of Wickham. The road is closed in both directions.’

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed there were four vehicles involved in the collision. Fire crews from Droxford, Wickham and Cosham were deployed to the scene at 8.04pm. Firefighters were stood down at 9,36pm

An earlier tweet from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Our crews are currently dealing with an incident on the A32, just past the Cott Street junction in Droxford. Please avoid the area to allow access for emergency vehicles.’

Details have not yet been provided regarding any injuries to those involved.
