The total on the JustGiving web page passed the £10,000 mark thanks to four donations made last Friday morning, the day of her funeral.

It now stands at £10,255, with people still able to donate until the end of what would have been Sabrina’s 27th birthday today.

Close friend and colleague of Sabrina, Kelly Long, set up the page with an initial target of £1,000 to support Sabrina’s husband Dominic and three-year-old daughter Elsie.

Kelly, who met Sabrina at Age UK Portsmouth, where she had been working since March, said: ‘Reaching over £10,000 on the day of Sabrina’s funeral was amazing. No amount of money will give us what we all truly want but it will help the family in the future and give them a special place to remember Sabrina.

‘So much love and support has been shown to Sabrina’s family, which is something they will cherish forever and has hopefully given them a little bit of hope for the future.

‘I set up the page as I couldn’t think of any other way to help when I so desperately wanted to and I know others did also, this gave them that opportunity and the response have been incredible.’

Family and friends said a tearful goodbye to Sabrina at her funeral at The Oaks Crematorium, in Havant, last week.

They wore burgundy as a tribute to the Gosport mum-of-one as it was her favourite colour.

Kelly added: ‘Sabrina was clearly loved by so many. The turnout at the funeral was overwhelming and she got the send of she deserved.

‘I have received a lot of thanks over the past few weeks which is obviously very much appreciated, however I have only done what any other friend would have done.’
