Sky broadband and Talk down across Portsmouth area - here's what is causing it

SKY customers across the area have been hit by broadband and phone outages this morning.

The issue is affecting people in Portsmouth and the South East as well as those on the Isle of Wight.

Sky have said that it has been ‘caused by a fibre-cable break’.

Repair work is said to be underway.

Sky Help Team tweeted: ‘UPDATE: South East England & Isle of Wight

‘We understand from our onsite engineers that the problem has been caused by a fibre-cable break. Repair work is underway and we'll provide an update on progress soon.
