Fire crews from Cosham and Southsea were deployed to tackle the bus blaze on the M27 hard shoulder between junctions 11 and 12 on the westbound carriageway after receiving a call at 5.12pm. They were joined by a water-carrier from Fareham.

One foam jet and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the blaze which caused smoke to billow across the M27.
