Southsea man, aged in his 50s, pronounced dead at scene after crash with parked vehicle

A MAN from Southsea died after the car he was driving crashed into a parked vehicle yesterday evening.

Police are now investigating the incident which took place on Shirley Avenue in Southsea at 5.35pm when a Chrysler Grand Voyager collided with a parked Volkswagen Polo.

‘The driver of the Chrysler, a man aged in his 50s from Southsea, was pronounced dead at the scene,’ a police statement said.

‘His next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

‘Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information or dash cam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44210145493.’
