Suspected ordnance found on Pagham Beach

The Selsey Coastguard was called to a suspected ordnance on Pagham Beach on Sunday evening.

The coastguard were called to the scene on 7.15pm and the ordnance was located.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team arrived on scene and took the item back with them for safe disposal.

A spokesman said: ‘Ordnance comes in all shapes and sizes and can be highly explosive, so please do not touch it and call the coastguard.’
