Tickets for popular Holywell Estate bluebell walk to go on sale

TICKETS are set to go on sale for a popular bluebell walk taking in the private grounds of the Holywell Estate in Swanmore.

With tickets selling out in just 20 minutes last year, high demand is expected when they go on sale on Monday, March 9 at 10am.

Visitors can enjoy the sight of bluebells in the Meon Valley woodlands on April 25 and 26, with ticket sales to benefit the Murray Parish Trust which supports children's emergency services.

Permission for the walk has been given by the Earl and Countess of Clarendon, with the support of NFU Mutual, with an opportunity to follow the trail around the river meadows and parklands in South Downs National Park.

Bryonie, Countess of Clarendon, said: ‘We are thrilled to be working in partnership with The Murray Parish Trust to help raise £5.5m to create an intra-operative MRI Suite at the Southampton Children’s Hospital.’

Visitors are advised to wear suitable footwear for the three-mile trail which is not wheelchair or stroller accessible, but dogs on leads are welcome.

Ticket price includes a hot drink or squash served from the outdoor kitchen in the summer garden where food will also be available to purchase for cash only. The trail also enables visitors to see the recently restored walled garden.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children under 16, and free for under twos.

These must be purchased in advance and shown at the gate, and will only be available online from The Murray Parish Trust at themurrayparishtrust.com/bluebell-walk-2020-at-holywell-estate-25th-26th-april
