Five-foot letters spelling out ‘FIT BUT U KNOW IT,’ – which workers said will be illuminated once lights are fitted – have appeared on the common… suggesting that The Streets will be on this year’s bill.

The words are lyrics from the band’s single ‘Fit But You Know It,’ released in April 2004 and reaching number four in the UK Singles Charts.

After retiring The Streets in 2011, Mike Skinner returned to the outfit in 2017, with plans for their ‘biggest ever show’ in their hometown later this year.

Other acts appearing at Victorious Festival this year include Ian Brown from the Stone Roses, The Kooks, Terrorvision.

The former Stone Roses frontman Brown is set to headline the Friday night of the festival, playing classic hits from his 30-year career alongside new tracks following his seventh solo album Ripples, released this year.

Speaking then, festival director Andy Marsh said: ‘We’re positive 2020 will be our best line-up to date and we can’t wait to announce the rest of the bill.’

After the success and popularity of last year’s event, tens of thousands of people are set to attend the festival in 2020 - more than 120,000 revellers poured through the gates in 2018.

Victorious Festival is set to take place over the weekend of August 28 to 30, 2020, on Southsea Common.

Early bird tickets are on sale now, with current prices from £25 per day plus fees.
