'˜Walk with me': Meet the Gosport fundraiser hosting a major charity walk

Elizabeth Humphries, 68 from Gosport, is hosting a walk around the Stokes Bay area on Friday, October 5, raising money for Action for Children, The Brain Tumour Charity, Daisy's Dream and Living to the Max Trust.

Now, she is calling on other residents to join her for a relaxed 10k walk along the seafront, raising money for any charity of their choice.

Elizabeth said: '˜Anyone who wants to raise money for any charity can join in '“ it will be a fun walk with friends and families all enjoying themselves.

'˜There'll be water stops along the way and we'll be finishing up at a pub '“ so it will be a good evening.'

People taking part in the event will be meeting at The Seahorse pub in Gomer Lane at 5.45pm for a 6pm start.

'˜Doing something like this for charity is an amazing feeling,' Elizabeth explained: '˜Like for me, fighting brain tumours is very important.'

'˜I urge as many people as possible to come along and enjoy the fun together.'
