Hide AdMs Clark, who was alone when the incident took place, said: ‘I could smell smoke as I was driving, so I pulled over and there were flames underneath the car. I went across the road, turned round and it was already totally in flames, it was gone – it was just this massive inferno. There were these big explosions which was probably the tyres.
‘It was very scary because it happened so fast. I was lucky to get out. I was probably driving along with the underneath already on fire but just didn’t realise it.
‘I’d only got the MoT done at the start of October.’
