The Coastguard were deployed at 5pm this evening (January 9) where they had to ‘extricate’ the woman from the mud before she was then handed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
The woman was with her two children who were not stuck in the mud.

A Coastguard spokesman issued a warning after ‘a rise in the number of people walking along the coast during lockdown’.
The spokesman said: ‘People need to check the tide times and be aware of the environment around them. Anyone who does get into trouble should call the Coastguard.’
Rescue teams were stood down at 5.30pm. The Coastguard were called to an earlier incident in which a man had to be rescued from mudflats at Prinsted near Emsworth.’
