Women's Euro 2022 final: Greene King to offer free drink to all customers this weekend

A UK pub chain is offering a free drink to all its customers on the day of the UEFA Women’s final.

Greene King, which has pubs in Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Portchester, are giving away a free drink to punters at their watering holes this Sunday, July 31.

It comes as the chain want to support fans as they prepare for the final of the UEFA Women's Euro where England will play Germany in the final.

The offer is the latest in Greene King’s drive to support women’s sport across the UK.

Customers can claim the beverage by downloading the Greene King Season Ticket app and registering their account by 12pm on Sunday.

At 3pm on Sunday, the free drink will be added to each registered customer’s basket within the app.

Customers can choose one of the following drinks for free:

Ice Breaker Pale Ale (bottle/pint)

Coca-Cola/Zero Sugar (bottle/draught)

Heineken 0.0 per cent (bottle)

Heineken 5 per cent 330ml (bottle)

Bulmers (bottle)

Heineken 5 per cent (draught)

Foster's (draught)

John Smith's Extra Smooth (draught)

Strongbow (draught)

Strongbow Dark Fruit (draught)

Amstel (draught)

Pubs across the Fareham area offering the deal are Cuckoo Pint at Cuckoo Lane and The Seagull at Cornaway Lane in Fareham.

In Portsmouth eligible pubs are Baffins, Coach & Horses, Farmhouse, Green Posts, Manor House, Ship Anson, Sovereigns and Star & Garter.

Havant will offer the deal at the Heron pub at Petersfield Road, while Portchester customers can grab hold of the deal at the Red Lion pub at West Street.

Faye Nixon, marketing manager for Greene King Sport said: ‘The Women’s Euros has been nothing short of fantastic. We’re all thrilled they’ve made it to the final.

‘Whatever happens on Sunday, it’s important we don’t just see this as a one-off moment for women’s sport. We need to do everything we can to continue the buzz that has followed this tournament and inspire the next generation of women in sport.’

Punters will be able to enjoy their free drink until midnight on Sunday.

The company is also donating 10p from every drink sold via the Season Ticket app during the final to Women in Sport, a charity which provides impactful solutions to tackling gender inequality in sport.
