Indie is 19 months old and was taken into the Stubbington Ark RSPCA animal shelter last month where staff think she is a ‘lovely, friendly girl’.

An experienced owner who has spent a lot of time with a husky or an anxious dog before would be needed to help Indie work on her behaviour.

She currently cannot be left for any period of time without becoming very distressed, and will need time to work on this with the support of a dog behaviourist.

‘She will be a difficult one to rehome as she currently cannot be left at all due to her severe separation anxiety and will need ongoing help with a behaviourist.’

Although she cannot be rehomed with any cats, Indie may benefit from living with another dog of a similar size and energy if she can spend time meeting potential housemates at the shelter.

Indie will need daily physical and mental stimulation in an adult-only home who have good knowledge of separation anxiety and how to handle it.

There are many other dogs at the Stubbington Ark who are looking for loving homes to take them in, as well as cats, cockerels, ferrets and more.
