Cleaning for the Queen in East Hampshire
More than 20 community groups in East Hampshire put on hi-vis jackets and got busy with litter pickers and bin bags across East Hampshire at the weekend.
Councillor Julie Butler, from East Hampshire District Council, said: ‘What a fantastic response East Hampshire residents have given to the Clean for the Queen campaign.

‘We all want to see East Hampshire clean and clear of litter.
‘The council spends more than £300,000 a year litter-picking the worst affected areas, but we must all work together if we are going to keep the district looking its best.’
Further collections will also be held in Stroud on March 19 and in Horndean on 20 March.
Clean for the Queen has been launched to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in July.
