Former prime minister David Cameron captured on Ring doorbell canvassing for Paul Holmes in Hamble Valley

Lord Cameron was out canvassing for Conservative candidate for Hamble Valley Paul Holmes when he was captured on a ring doorbell on Tuesday. Holly Alison posted the footage on TikTok and said: “Wasn't expecting that.”

In the clip, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs said: “Hi it’s David Cameron, I was calling because of the election on July 4. I’m here with Paul Holmes, your local MP, who is keen to win your support.” 

Mr Holmes, subsequently posting on X, said: “Great to have David Cameron down to launch my campaign to win Hamble Valley. Lots of surprised and happy voters today and good to get activists together. A strong team.”
