Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage takes on new role at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport

Caroline Dinenage, MP for Gosport, has been moved from her position as care minister at the Department of Health and Social Care to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

In her new role, Ms Dinenage will be responsible for online security, museums and libraries, as well as the Festival of Britain.

‘After two amazing years at the Department of Health and Social Care, I’m off to face big new challenges,’ she said.

‘My huge thanks to all the inspiring, incredible people it has been an honour to meet and work with along the way – the toughest and yet the best of jobs.

‘I will greatly miss everyone at the Department for Health but I am very excited about the new and exciting journey ahead.’

It comes as prime minister Boris Johnson reshuffled his ministerial team.
