The MP has spoken out against the idea of a People's Vote on Brexit, which has seen campaigns both locally and nationally.

Last month, a survey carried out in Fareham by campaigners showed people could favour a final vote after negotiations come to an end.

But Ms Dinenage has asked for people to show faith in Prime Minister Theresa May, saying that the next few weeks of negotiation are '˜crucial'.

She said: '˜My view on a People's Vote is very simple.

'˜We already had a vote on Brexit '“ it was the EU referendum, and we can't disrespect the people who went out in their masses to vote.

'˜I am totally against the idea of a People's Vote; we need to see what the deal is.

'˜I think the next few weeks will be crucial. We are now at that critical point in negotiations.'
