Telecare is a 24-hour personal emergency monitoring service which helps people to continue to live independently in their own home using wireless technology and environmental sensors.

Councillor Liz Fairhurst, the council’s executive member for adult social care, said she was delighted with the win.

Cllr Fairhurst added: ’Telecare can have a huge impact on people’s lives by helping people manage their health and wellbeing, as well as helping lonely or isolated people connect with their communities.’
