HMS Sultan sailors complete charity challenge

SAILORS completed a charity challenge ahead of the Army and Royal Navy rugby match at Twickenham today.

Personnel at HMS Sultan pushed a 35kg Prowler sled 72 miles - the equivalent distance between the Gosport base and Twickenham.

The three-day event raised money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Leading Physical Trainer Peter Oswald said: ‘Throughout each day we had people taking part in the activity and it’s really brought us all together.

‘The RNRMC have done a lot to improve the standards of our sporting facilities and it was a nice way to say thanks.’

The rugby union clash between the armed forces is an annual event.
