When you're working on a project like this, especially in Portsmouth, you have to be very careful that you don't dig up a bomb left behind after the war. Before any work was done on site, there was an 'unexploded ordnance survey' carried out, which came back all clear. The team have a detailed report from this survey onsite, which include maps of air raids and naval bombardments, post WWII photography of the site, examples of land service ammunition, and much more.
