Meon Valley MP urges people to register to vote in EU referendum

MEON Valley MP George Hollingbery is urging everyone to '¨make sure they are registered to vote in next month's EU referendum.

Teenagers who have turned 18 since the April registration deadline for the recent local elections, or anyone who has moved will have to register by June 7 to vote.

Mr Hollingbery said: ‘I would like to remain in the EU but regardless of whether people agree with me or not, it’s vitally important that everyone casts their vote and to do so they must be registered like in any other election. This referendum is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for the country to have its say on Europe.’
