Portsmouth City Council is set to consider implementing the new MH and MI zones, in Southsea, that will allow only permit holders to park between certain times.
If approved the MH zone will be bordered by Highland Road, Winter Road, Devonshire Avenue and Eastney Road and will operate from 6pm to 8pm.

Under the scheme residents of Devonshire Avenue will be able to park on either side of the road using either parking permit.
In a report to be heard at a traffic and transport meeting this week, Tristan Samuels - the council's director of regeneration - said: 'Residents' parking zones can be an effective way to manage the rising demand for parking on the public roads, particularly in response to the issues raised by local people.
'The proposed MH Westfield Road area zone aims to better manage the parking and how it is used, improving the balance of parking opportunities between those living in an area and those visiting or working.'

In the MH area 111 people responded in support of the formal survey, with 45 against and 15 unclear.
A resident of Eastfield Road said: 'Parking has got extremely bad over the last few years, and the roll-out of other parking zones has affected my road so much this year that I can never park anywhere in my road in the evening.'
But a resident of Landguard Road commented: 'As Portsmouth council is not going to create more spaces the problem remains or gets moved on to the next area.

During the formal survey of the MI area 47 residents were in support, 46 people objected and nine were unclear.
A decision on the zones will be made during a virtual traffic and transport meeting on Thursday, December 17.
