Portsmouth City Council is considering adding all properties along the west side of Grove Road South to the KD parking zone.

Seven properties along the road are currently eligible for permits for the zone, which sits between Elm Grove and Kent Road. R esidents in other homes requested the expansion after the MD parking zone was introduced last year.

Pam Turton, the council’s assistant director of regeneration, said: ‘Persons wishing either to object or support these proposals may do so by sending their representations via email to [email protected] or post to Nikki Musson, parking team, Portsmouth City Council, civic offices, Portsmouth PO1 2NE, quoting reference TRO 48/2020 by August 21 stating the grounds of objection/support, and name and address details.’

The KD zone does not allow non-permit holders to park for more than two hours at any time.

Permits for a household’s first car cost £30 a year.
