The counts have now finished today across the area for the local elections.

Despite the vote being on Thursday, Portsmouth, Gosport and Havant councils held their counts today.

Lesley Meenaghan has won Town in Gosport for the Conservatives, taking it off the Labour Party for the first time in more than 40 years. She said: 'I'm elated - we've worked really hard in Town and it has clearly paid off.'
