Regulator raps local TV station over show and quality
BROADCAST watchdog Ofcom has criticised a local TV station.
It found That’s Solent had breached the regulator’s code by broadcasting a violent scene of a woman being murdered with a knife in a sci-fi show at 7.20pm – before the watershed.
The broadcaster had apologised and said a change to its schedule meant the episode of The Adventures of Stephen Brown was shown on January 2 before the watershed.
Ofcom also looked into complaints made in June and July last year about the channel’s sound, video and caption problems.
That’s Solent had a system rebuild after technical problems.
