Pavements in Stubbington are being resurfaced this week by Hampshire County Council.

Councillor Chris Wood, the village’s representative on Fareham and Hampshire councils, says improving the centre is a top priority.

The works will remove different varieties of tarmac through the centre’s different sections and replace them with a single tarmac finish.

Cllr Wood said: ‘It has taken years to get this resurfacing work agreed to by the council due to the significant budget pressures we face, so I’m very proud to have secured this investment for residents.’

The work, which will cost £80,000 got under way on Sunday and is expected to take a week to complete.
