Fareham pensioner suffers serious injuries after driving into block of flats
The 70-year-old was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital after the incident on Trinity Street yesterday (October 14).Â
A second man, 41, suffered minor bruising as a result of the crash.Â

Hide AdA spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: '˜At 3.20pm on Sunday, October 14 officers received a report of a car having been in collision with a block of flats on Trinity Street, Fareham.Â
'˜The driver of the vehicle, a 70-year-old man from Fareham suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital.Â
'˜A 41-year-old man inside one of the flats suffered minor bruising.'Â
An eyewitness to the scene, Alexandru Brasaliga, said the commotion came as '˜a surprise'.Â

Hide AdThe 22-year-old, who works at Kens Kebab House and Speedy Pizza '“ close to where the crash happened '“ said: '˜We have cameras and I saw lots of traffic and people, so I went outside to see what happened.Â
'˜The front of the car was broken and you could see it was a car that hit the building.'Â
Mr Brasaliga said emergency services arrived on the scene '˜within five minutes' '“ but claims the driver of the car '˜looked okay' when he left his vehicle.
A crew from Fareham Fire Station, which attended the incident, left the scene after an hour.
The man was treated by firefighters at the scene before being passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service (Scas).
