Fuel spill after motorbike crash

FIREFIGHTERS were called to wash away leaked fuel from a Portsmouth street.

A motorbike was hit by a car outside the Matalan car park, in Station Street, Portsmouth just after 5.30pm on Friday.

The biker, a man in his 20s, was shaken but unhurt, However, damage to his bike left fuel on the road and on the pavement.

A crew of Southsea firefighters closed one lane to traffic and washed the spill away by 6pm.

The car driver was also unhurt.
