Stokes Bay Road in Gosport is closed as the area continues to be battered by gale force winds and heavy rain.
An amber weather warning remains in place across the region until 9pm.
Gosport Borough Council’s Streetscene account tweeted: ‘Our colleagues in Hampshire Highways have now closed Stokes Bay Road due to the road being flooded.’
Flood warnings have also been issued for across the area by the Environment Agency.
This includes a red ‘flooding is expected’ alert for Fareham as well as for Bosham and West Itchenor.
While yellow ‘flooding is possible’ alerts have been issued for Gosport as well as Portsmouth and other places across the area.
