More details released into Gosport road collision which left cyclist with serious injuries

MORE details have been released following a road collision in Gosport last night which left a man in a serious condition.

Hampshire Constabulary say they were called Keyes Road at 5.50pm following the incident involving a cyclist and a Citroen Picasso.

The 34-year-old male cyclist suffered a serious injury and was taken to Southampton General Hospital by road for treatment. His condition is not life-threatening.

Ambulance crews attended the scene, including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman last night said: ‘We sent a rapid response vehicle, a rapid response crew and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

‘We treated one patient who was a male in his 30s, for serious injuries.

‘He was treated at the scene and taken by land ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.’
