Motorcyclist sustains serious injuries following collision near Shedfield

The police have launched an appeal for information after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a collision on Winchester Road, Shedfield, at the junction with the A334.

The incident was reported to the police at 10:44am on Friday, September 20. It was reported that a black Triumph Bonneville motorcycle was travelling south along the B2177 Winchester Road when it was involved in a collision with a blue Mitsubishi Outlander.

The Mitsubishi had reportedly pulled into the road from the offside junction in order to join the flow of traffic heading south.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
