Portchester crews battling thatch house fire
Fire crews from Portchester have had their hands full this afternoon battling a thatch house fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue tweeted that pumps from Portchester, Winchester, Basingstoke and Eastleigh had been called to the fire in Braishfield, near Romsey.
Our picture, tweeted out by the service, shows crews using water jets to clear the flames and smoke from the property.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
