Road in Gosport remains closed while emergency services respond to 'serious' crash

Gregson Avenue has been shut in both directions since approximately 8:20am following reports of a ‘serious’ collision.

Emergency services including police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance were all deployed to the scene.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “We are currently in attendance at a serious collision on Gregson Avenue.”

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has confirmed that the air ambulance team, consisting of a doctor and two specialist paramedics, were deployed by helicopter and a further specialist paramedic by car the crash.

The AA has confirmed that the road is closed in both directions between Prideaux-Brune Avenue and Chatfield Road.
