Train fault causing rail chaos on Portsmouth lines

A TRAIN fault is causing chaos on the rail lines in Portsmouth this morning.

The issue has happened at Hilsea, South Western Railway have said.

Some lines are reported to be blocked and disruption is expected to last for the next couple of hours.

SWR tweeted: ‘Due to a train fault at Hilsea some lines are blocked. Train services running through this station may be delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 12:00.’

The Trainline app is showing that services out of Fratton are currently delayed or cancelled as a result of the fault.
