Tree blocking railway affecting services between Swanwick and Fareham stations
Commuters are being warned of delays
A tree blocking the railway is affecting services between Swanwick and Fareham stations this morning.
South Western Railway said trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised because of this problem. It comes amid heavy rain and wind after Storm Austen hit overnight.

The firm said: “Following a tree blocking the railway between Swanwick and Fareham the line towards Southampton Central has now reopened.
“Train services running through these stations may be delayed or diverted. Disruption is expected until 9am.
“Response teams on site have removed the tree and trains are now running through the area as usual. Southampton Central to Portsmouth & Southsea stopping services are expected to run in both directions, however delays and short notice cancellation could happen as stock and crew could be displaced during the disruption.”
