'We're very sorry': Hot weather impacts train services across the whole South Western Railway network
Train chaos due to hot weather
Hot weather is causing havoc for commuters as train services are expected to be cancelled and revised all day.
South Western Railway has urged customers to plan before travelling as trains across the whole network may be altered due to the ‘ongoing hot weather’.

This comes after temperatures soared over the bank holiday weekend, with the Met Office confirming Monday, May 25 was the hottest May day on record.
South Western Railway wrote on its website: “Train services running across the whole South Western Railway network may be revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
“Due to the ongoing hot weather and the effect it has had on our train services over recent days, we expect some disruption to continue throughout today. If any delays or service issues occur, we will share updates as soon as possible. To help minimise disruption, some services have been cancelled or revised.
“If you need any help with your journey, please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point. We are very sorry for any disruption to your journey.”
