A3 crash at Clanfield between car and lorry sees man removed from vehicle and handed to paramedics amid closure and 'heavy delays'

A CRASH on the A3 this morning between a lorry and a car resulted in a man being removed from his vehicle before being handed to paramedics amid an exit slip road closure and ‘heavy delays’.

The incident happened northbound at the Chalton Lane junction with the A3 just before 7am – leaving lane one closed.

A social media post from Hants Fire Control said: ‘Attended a road traffic collision involving one car and one lorry at the Chalton Lane junction of the A3. One male extricated and handed into the care of SCAS (South Central Ambulance Service).’

Delays of around 30 minutes have been reported by live travel service Romanse, which has warned motorists face ‘heavy delays’.
