A force spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 6.59am to reports of a single vehicle collision on the M275 southbound, near to the Park and Ride exit, after a white Ford Fiesta was in collision with the central reservation. The vehicle was blocking two lanes, a lane closure was put into place to allow us to deal with this incident. No injuries were reported.

‘We were then called at 7.18 to reports of a collision on the A27 eastbound, just past the Eastern Road flyover. The collision involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Focus. No injuries have been reported.

‘The latter should be cleared now, both vehicles have been recovered.’
