Four car pile-up causing major delays on M27

A CRASH between four cars has caused delays on the M27 this evening.

According to Highways England, four vehicles were involved in an eastbound collision between Junction 8 for Bursledon and Junction 9 in Park Gate.

One lane was blocked due to debris, but it is understood that this has now been cleared.

The M27 was brought to a standstill

Traffic was at a standstill as a result of this incident, with delays now at around 30 minutes for commuters.

Drivers are being urged to use alternate routes if possible.

This was the second incident on the M27 this afternoon, after an incident on the eastbound exit slip at Junction 9.
