'Heavy delays' on M27 in Fareham after 'incident'

A lane is blocked on the westbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 10, for Fareham, and junction 9, for Park Gate.

Hampshire County Council’s ROMANSE traffic account is reporting delays of 30 minutes.

As a result of the incident, there are also delays on A27 northbound in Fareham between Gosport Rd/Fareham Rd and the M27.

The delays are being caused by a road traffic incident (RTI), according to the reports.

ROMANSE tweeted: ‘M27 Fareham westbound - one lane BLOCKED between J10/A32 Fareham and J9/A27 Park Gate due to an RTI, heavy delays building.’

AA Traffic is also reporting the delays on the M27 westbound near Fareham this morning.

On its traffic map, it says: ‘One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M27 Westbound after J10 A32 Wickham Road (Wickham). Lane one (of three) is closed.’
