At junction five for Hedge End, the westbound entry and exit slip roads will be shut all weekend.

In a traffic bulletin, Highways England said: ‘The junction nine westbound slip road was built decades ago and is much longer than a standard slip road. The work taking place during these closures is to convert the exit to a standard length.

‘All diversions will be fully signed. Drivers using this stretch of road are advised to plan ahead and leave extra time for their journeys.’
