M27 stretch closed after vehicle collides with pedestrian

POLICE were called to a ‘serious road collision’ after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the M27 on Friday - resulting in the motorway being closed.

The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 3 and junction 2 at 4.20am.

Hampshire police are appealing for information.

The Hants Roads Policing account posted on Twitter: ‘We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the M27 where a pedestrian was in collision with a vehicle at around 4.20am (Fri 10 April). The westbound carriageway is currently closed between J3 and J2.’
