Major delays on A27 with queues back to M27 as works overrun

COMMUTERS have been stuck in heavy traffic on the A27 this evening after roadworks overran.

Overrunning work near the A3023 has led to traffic queuing back to the end of the M27 in Portsmouth.

Major delays on A27 near Portsmouth as roadworks overrun

Over 30 minutes delays were reported in the area with one lane remaining closed while the roadworks are ongoing.

Motorists could avoid the area by driving up through Cosham and along Havant Road to access the A27, or drive through Havant to avoid the delays entirely.
