Pensioner, 86, killed in crash on busy Hampshire road

A pensioner has been killed in a crash in Hampshire yesterday afternoon.

The 86-year-old man was driving a blue Nissan Micra when it was involved in a collision with a black Ford Ranger on the B2070 London Road in Petersfield at about 4.10pm.

The crash happened about 300 metres from the junction to the A272 Midhurst Road.

Police said the Micra driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision.

They are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it.
