Police chief says air crash death toll could reach 20

The number of people killed in Saturday’s Shoreham Airshow disaster could rise to 20, assistant chief constable Steve Barry has told BBC Radio Sussex.

Mr Barry, of Sussex Police, said: “The number of highly likely dead remains at 11, but may rise. However, we do not expect that figure to be greater than 20, probably fewer.”

A crane is expected to remove the plane from the crash site later today.
