Police incident on M27 near Park Gate leads to delays in both directions

POLICE have been called to an incident on the M27 between Park Gate and Bursledon, causing traffic delays this afternoon.

The incident was reported between junction 8 near Bursledon and junction 9 near Park Gate at 5pm today.

Traffic was held while emergency service crews dealt with the incident, but drivers have now been allowed to resume travelling along the motorway.

Hampshire County Council’s traffic team tweeted: ‘Eastbound - traffic has now been released between J8/A3024 #Bursledon and J9/A27 #ParkGate due to an earlier police incident, delays easing.’

Hampshire Constabulary have been contacted for further information.
