Portsmouth to London road, the A3, to have two weeks of overnight closures

THE main road between Portsmouth and London is to be affected by overnight closures for the next fortnight.

From tonight until Friday, December 16, overnight closures will take place to allow survey work in the central reservation and verge areas along the A3.

On Friday 2 to Saturday December 3, the northbound A3 from M25 junction 10 to the Painshill junction, including the M25 entry slip to the northbound A3 will be closed from 10pm–6am.

Sunday 4 to Wednesday December 7 the northbound A3 from Ockham roundabout to M25 junction 10, including the Ockham entry slip and Wisley Lane will be closed from 10.30pm to 5.30am.

Thursday, December 8, from 10.30pm to 5.30am as well as Friday, December 9, from 11pm to 6am, the northbound A3 will be closed from M25 junction 10 to Painshill junction, including the M25 entry slip to the northbound A3.

On Saturday, December 10, from 10pm to 6am, the southbound A3 will be closed from Painshill to M25 junction 10 as well as Sunday, December 11 10.30pm to 5.30am.

On Monday 12 to Wednesday, December 14, the southbound A3 from M25 junction 10 to Ockham roundabout will be closed 10.30pm to 5.30am.

On Thursday 15 10.30pm to 5.30am as well as Friday, December 16 11pm to 6am, the southbound A3 from Painshill junction to M25 junction 10 will be closed.
