Snow could be on the horizon in Portsmouth as weather warning issued
A WEATHER warning has been issued for Portsmouth and Hampshire, with a chance that snow could be on the way.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the south east of England, with an incoming band of rain forecast to ‘turn readily’ into snow this weekend.
Portsmouth and the surrounding area was largely unaffected by the recent Storm Christoph, with the worst of the weather coming in the form of strong winds.

According to the Met Office, an area of rain will cross the west and southwest of the country on Sunday morning and could turn to snow as it spreads eastwards.
Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services – with the potential for some roads to become blocked on higher level routes.
Icy patches will almost certainly appear on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, so caution is advised.
