Yellow weather warnings were in place on Friday and Saturday.

The Met Office originally issued one for today but it is no longer in place.

Storm Alex is the first named storm of the 2020/21 season.

Heavy rain is expected to last until the evening in Portsmouth, despite the weather warning being lifted.

Firefighters had to rescue a motorist stranded in standing water caused by the downpours brought by the storm.

There have also been a number of incidents on roads across the county this weekend, with traffic police warning drivers to ‘think and slow down’ during the stormy conditions.
